Responsible for leading a multi vendor team to come up with a Proof Of Concept for Internet Of Everything (IoE) service. This includes working with multiple vendors and offshore development teams in an agile development process. Intrado considers this to be an important strategic service which needs to be prototyped.

·         Working with Solution Engineers and Product managers to capture the requirements for the PoC service

·         Work with Project management to define the deliverables for the Sprint.

Systems Architect, Location Performance Management for LTE, GSM and UMTS.      Jan 2013- Present

Responsible for leading the team and the technical and business strategy for developing Business Intelligence tool for location data analytics tool for LTE, GSM and UMTS to help the major carriers (national and international) understand the performance of the location servers. The product was acquired by Intrado and faced difficulty in selling the product beyond CDMA.

 

My responsibilities include

·         Understanding the key requirements from discussions with carriers and provide clear guidance for the development team

·         Calculated the Total Addressable Market in North America and internationally

·         Create a sales strategy mind map and educated the sales team on the possible channels for national and international sales

NTIA is charged with building national public safety interoperable network using LTE D Block based on the regulations passed in 2012 by Congress. Intrado considers this to be a strategic business opportunity and has impacts on multiple business divisions. Intrado considers this be a 50 million dollar opportunity initially.

 

My responsibilities include

·         Attend the requirements meeting of FirstNet and understand the implications of the FirstNet architecture on Intrado solutions

·         Create a white paper on the business opportunities around FirstNet for ntrados

·         Form a cross functional team for responding to the RFI questions

·         Generate a RACI matrix on the responsibilities of the various RFI questions

·         Facilitate the discussion on the overall technical and business strategy and generate buy-ins from key stakeholders like GM and CTO offices

·         Provide an internal project schedule and create internal coherence on the RFI  response strategy.

 

Key Results: My participation in PSCR conferences and requirements development process has helped me create some strong relationships with key decision makers in Firstnet. Intrado has gained visibility in the process and plans to offer solution that is uniquely suited for FirstNet.

Voice over LTE was a significant leap for the wireless carriers and Intrado business unit leadership wanted someone with significant VoIP experience to manage the portfolio of VoLTE and advise the customers on its impact.

 

My responsibilities included

·         Create an internal strategy document on the impacts and business opportunities around Voice over LTE and Next generation network migration

·         Educate the internal stake holders like Director of Product management, Sales team, Customer team directors, VP of  Operations and General Manager on the VoLTE/IMS architecture

·         Create presentation on the VoLTE architecture and how it impacts our existing products for sales team

·         Work closely with product owners and Engineering teams to identify impacts on our products

·         Created sales white paper on the impacts to the  carriers as they embrace VoLTE

·         Identify the call flows for call signaling (SIP) and location determination (Diameter, SUPL)

·         Embed in sales team and conduct customer presentations

·         Created customer facing whitepaper on the impacts of LTE migration to the carrier. This was used as part of the marketing collateral for VoLTE.

 

Key Results: Intrado has already signed contracts worth more than 70 million dollars with major Tier1 carriers and with some promising opportunities in the pipeline, VoLTE  and NGN initiatives will be worth 100 million soon.

Intrado wanted to develop a VoIP Softswitch/Application server and I was hired to develop the SIP based call routing engine. This softswitch would be the focus of the next generation network strategy for Intrado.

 

My responsibilities included

·         Leading a team of JAVA developers who are new to SIP and VoIP on developing SIP application using SIP servlet APIs based on JSR 116

·         Work on an agile product development model with tight deadlines

 

Key Results: IEN Voice has established as the leading next generation product in the market . It has created almost 50 million dollar business and continues to grow. There is every possibility the VoIP call routing engine will be a 75-100 million dollar product by Q4, 2014.

 

Siemens Network Convergence, LLC              June 2001 – June2006

·         Charged with single-handedly executing a mission-critical project to create the Signaling Manager call

control application to provide E911 capabilities for SURPASS hiQ 8000 over TGCP/MGCP Gateway.

·         Tapped to identify and resolve the root cause of 911 emergency call failures for Siemens’ first and most

critical VoIP customer, Cablevision. Created a cost-effective solution, Audit Enhancement for TGCP/CAS trunks for making sure that trunk states are matched in the Media Gateway Controller and the Trunk Gateway

·         Orchestrated the first development and deployment of the new B911 service designed to support legacy

switches for customer, SHAW communication networks, and deliver B-Party Control on hiQ8000, which

enables operators to ring back 911 callers if necessary.

·         Satisfied stringent FCC regulations requiring the full support of traditional TDM services on converged VoIP networks by helping to develop a novel solution for Operator Busy Line Verification (BLV), which allowed operators to verify the status of any line provisioned on hiQ 8000.

·         Feature lead for developing and delivering Set Top Box Caller ID display functionality, a key component of Voice Over Cable solution for Time Warner Cable.

·         Earned a SPOT award for devising a cost-effective, RFC compliant and generic solution to an interworking

problem between Siemens legacy hiE 9200 switch and the next generation hiQ 8000, which reaffirmed

customer confidence.

·         Instrumental in securing crucial PacketCable Certification 1.0 for Siemens to assure marketability of the

company’s real-time multimedia services over cable.
